Dost thou love life?
Then do not squander time,
for that is the stuff life is made of.

Who in the hell is Anthony D?
I'm a photographer, model, blogger, occasional fictional writer and overall creative junkie. I created this blog in order to showcase my work and myself to the world. My blog is filled with my thoughts, my writings, my photography, my artwork, my opinions, and the music I love. I realized that my views and opinions on life and trivial issues were WAY too extreme to just keep to myself. I mean keeping them to myself would be selfish right?? If you're easily offended, now would be an EXCELLENT time to click that X in the corner of your toolbar and head for the hills!

Random Thought: After A Semi-Frustrating Day
IT'S SIMPLE:
Drama, bickering, and negativity can really ruin your flow if you allow them to. I have no time for it...I'm too focused on the big picture to let that nonsense slow me down.
Mood: Paper Chasing.

Jam Session: Raphael Saadiq- Big Easy
I recently stumbled across this hot track by Raphael Saadiq, formerly of Tony Toni Tone. With a southern, vintage-motown feel and powerful lyrics, I couldn't resist clapping my hands and two stepping. While this song wasn't a huge commercial success when it was released September 2008 on his third solo album titled, The Way I see it, this song speaks as an anthem for New Orleans. Here is a live performance on VH1's Soul Stage.

Heated Haiti Discussion-Via Facebook (Click picture to enlarge)
Topic: Overpaid celebrities not making generous donations to asist in aiding ravaged Haiti, while they ask hardworking Americans to donate their money.
Synopsis: Agree to disagree. The majority was in favor of my arguement. My stance is still strong, although some valid points were made about the distribution of assets to recording artists.

Angry Black Man Rant: Let's Stop this Viscious Cycle Black People, One name at a time...
Black People. I bring this message on the behalf of the 'Michelle Obama' blacks chapter, of the African-American race. [According to me] There are several different 'chapters' or groups, or types of black people. For example: there is the Katrinian Chapter [katrina victim-like, embarrassing ass blacks], the Tyler Perry Chapter [the bible banging, holy-ghost catching, gospel praising, bright sunday hats and silk suit wearing blacks] , the Jackson Family Chapter[Self-hating blacks with inferiority complexes], ect. Those are just a few of MANY chapters or types of black people [according to me]. I would consider myself to be in the new class called the "Michelle Obama Blacks" chapter [Educated black people with pride, class, charisma, and a future].
Now that I have explained my class system, I can further go into the real purpose behind this post. God knows there are THOUSANDS of issues that I would like to address my people with, but im just going to touch base on ONE that has been bothering me lately....
WHY THE F*CK MUST WE NAME OUR CHILDREN SH*T THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE. What's wrong with normal names? I think that we should pass a law where hyphens and compound words CANNOT be put on birth certificates. If it sounds like a food, a spanglish word, venereal disease, or a medication for birth control that causes a plethora of deadly side effects, DONT GIVE THAT NAME TO YOUR CHILD!! I just feel like we're setting ourselves up for failure. If an employer sees two resumes of two qualified applicants, one named Sarah Mitchell and the other Delisha Jackson, honestly...who do YOU think he/she is going to call first? I really feel like we should just skip a step and give our kids first names like DontHireme or Welfarah', maybe even Incarceraysha. Long story short, black women...if you're pregnant...take your ass to walmart and buy a baby names book and pick one with less than 4 syllables. Think of your childrens' future. Personally, I don't think the name Shaniqua is cute at ANY age, but imagine a fifty-year old woman wanting to be taken seriously with a name like that. Well that's all I have to say on that for now. I've just been encountering some ridiculous names recently and the Lord inspired me to write about it. Just remember a black president was a huge step forward for blacks everywhere, but every f*cked up name given to a black child is 5 steps backwards. That is all.
