There were a total of 15 passengers boarding a small plane on their way
to Florida. One black mother and her child were on their way to visit
relatives while the other passengers consisted of the KKK on their way
to a convention.
The plane took off and after flying for approximately 12 minutes an
announcement came over the intercom from the pilot saying:
'We have overloaded this flight.
We are going to have to start throwing luggage out
the window so the plane won't go down.'
Two minutes later you could see luggage being thrown out the window. Five
minutes after that, the pilot made a second announcement.
'We are still experiencing problems.
We're sorry, but the plane is still overloaded and
we're going to have to get rid of some of the weight so the plane won't go
down.'
'We're going to have to ask some passengers to jump out of the
window when we call you by your name.
To make it fair, we'll go alphabetically. We'll start with A.
Will all the African Americans please jump now?'
The black woman and her child continued to sit.
The pilot came over the intercom system.
'Next is B. Will all the Black people please jump now'?
The Black woman and child continued to sit.
The pilot came over the intercom system again.
'Next is C. Will all the colored people please jump now?
All the KKK was now staring at the mother and child.
The black woman and child continued to sit.
The child then looked up at her Mom and said:
'Mom aren't we all of those?'
The mother then replied to her daughter,
'Baby, we n*ggers tonight and
the K's come before the N's.'
Hey readers, my apologies for the five month hiatus...I can't neccessarily say I'm BACK 100%, however I did need to make a quick return to share this joke :)

Who in the hell is Anthony D?
I'm a photographer, model, blogger, occasional fictional writer and overall creative junkie. I created this blog in order to showcase my work and myself to the world. My blog is filled with my thoughts, my writings, my photography, my artwork, my opinions, and the music I love. I realized that my views and opinions on life and trivial issues were WAY too extreme to just keep to myself. I mean keeping them to myself would be selfish right?? If you're easily offended, now would be an EXCELLENT time to click that X in the corner of your toolbar and head for the hills!

Why Tyler Perry Ruined My Redbox Experience
(CAUTION: THIS VIDEO CONTAINS PROFANITY AND USAGE OF THE WORD 'FAG')
**SPOILER ALERT**
Description: My lengthy, irrelevant, highly opinionated rant/review of the worst movie ever created, 'Why Did I Get Married Too'....
BEFORE YOU EVEN GO THERE: Yes I know I need to shave, and yes I'm aware of my razor burn and unsteady hand ;) And if you have anything to say in defense of Tyler Perry save it for someone who has a heart. lol.

Say Wooooow....
The debonair Mr.Trey Songz who typically plays it true to the streets classed his act up with this performance. To sum it up in two words I would say: PHENOMENAL RENDITION. This arrangement took this song from the night club and turned it into true beautiful music...between the strings and the piano I was floored when I saw this on MTV..Wow is all I can say.. "Say ahh." Who'da thunk?

Beautiful Track...
I was wondering maybe...Could I make you my baby? If we do the unthinkable would it make us so crazy? Or would it be so beautiful? either way I'm saying, If you ask me I'm ready" -'Unthinkable'--Alicia Keys [I wish I had written that song ;)--]

Jam Session: Manel feat. Don Cali & Lafrotino - "Leche Leche (Anna Anna)"
I literally stumbled across this track and I'm so glad that I did. It had been a while since I really got into any international music since my Amr Diab and Cheb Mami days back in 2007-08. This song really brought me back. I loved it. The girl is gorgeous (of course) and I love the reggaeton touch. The rappers were no Wisin y Yandel, but they were pretty good. Overall, A+ in my grade book. ;)

Performance Review: Subtly the Sickest of 2010
Diddy and Dirty Money debuted their newest track "Hello Good Morning" ft. T.I. on the American Idol stage last night. This performance was sick. To begin, the track alone is wild. I could just listen to the instrumental all day. Choreography, light shows, wardrobe, and a live band. I was in love. And WHO IS that punk rock/pin-up girl chick who starts killing it with Diddy mid performance?? She was a bad b*tch!! Maybe I'm biased because I get waaay too excited when I see white girls who have rythm and can dance hip hop freestyle well. She didn't do much but she did it well. When she came up out of the smoke I didn't expect those moves. Ugh Love it! Clearly Mr. Combs has not lost his touch for putting on an awesome show or for making hit music. He settles for nothing less than the best producers. I also must say that Dirty Money is a much better idea than Danity Kane. I love Dawn Richard's makeover!! Out of all of the Danity Kane girls she had the best voice and most potential. Dirty Money reminded me of Keri Hilson and Estelle fused with Salt-N-Peppa. There was a very retro, early 90's hip hop feel to the asymetrical wardrobe/hair. All in all it blew me away. Go Diddy. You may be a crappy rapper, but in my book you are definetly a serious performer and I can appreciate that.

Jam Session: Young Love "Unafraid"
Love this track! Powerful lyrics, great feel, sultry, rockin', kick-ass song! Very relate-able for me. ;) Enough said.

Picture Perfect.
The most beautiful interpretation of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" i've ever heard comes from a young prodigy by the name of David Sides. I never thought that song could make me emotional...I was wrong. He is amazing. Apparently he plays without sheet music and solely by ear. Thanks to my good friend Fran for introducing me to his music. I want this rendition played at my wedding..lol..is that weird?

Review: "Telephone"... I Think I have the Wrong Number.
The highly anticipated "Telephone" music video was a WITTLE disappointing, somewhat disturbing and irrelevant to the lyrics of the song. But I can find slight ways of appreciating it's basic artistic value. It just reminded me of how over Beyonce' I am and the way she has over saturated the music industry. Gaga was enjoyable to watch at some points but the overall finished product was a bit of a let down. I wasn't a fan of the track itself, but I hoped that a kick ass video would save it for me. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

Jam Session: Jamie Cullum "Don't Stop the Music"
I saw this guy on QVC performing this song live on his piano and I couldn't change the channel. This cover of Rihanna's "Please Don't Stop the Music" is absolutely superb. I still love Rihanna's version but he SLAYED with this rendition. WOW. His piano skills are almost more impressive than his voice. Obsessed.

Writing: "He Is..." By Anthony D
[Background: This piece is a very personal one which I wrote back in Feb 2010 during a very 'interesting' period of self evaluation. I feel like it's therapeutic to write out your positive traits and flaws sometimes. It can really help you visibly see some areas you may need to improve in, but also give you a boost of self esteem and remind you of your true self worth.]
He is a strong man with a voice.
He is intellligent.
He is bright and he has ideas.
He is proud of the skin he wears.
His rich shade of brown does not define him.
He has class.
He is tactful and focused.
His attraction to men is solely a fact; not WHO he is.
He is unique.
His flaws remind him that he is not perfect.
He teaches.
He learns.
He inspires.
He is thankful.
He is me.
He is a strong man with a voice.
He is intellligent.
He is bright and he has ideas.
He is proud of the skin he wears.
His rich shade of brown does not define him.

Jam Session: Estelle- Freak
If Lady Gaga and Missy Elliott created a child and she was raised in Britain..she would be Estelle in this video. WOW is all I can say! Hot track! I love how irratic and odd it is. I also love the art direction in this video. This was a completely new side of Estelle. With its 90's feel mixed with a contemporary uptempo club beat! Love it.

Jam Session: Rihanna-Rude Boy
Love it, love it! Great Track, fun video. However, I'm not a fan of the hair or wardrobe. She can pull off being curvacious but she needs to be careful that she picks wardrobe that works for her body, not against it. We all know she is a beautiful girl, it just seems like with her new album/ persona she's trying too hard to prove something. She had her own style at one time, now it appears as though shes living in the shadows of Beyonce' and other edgy female artists.

All My Single Ladies (and fellas)--Finding Your Perfect Match- By Anthony Dierek
[Author's note: I wrote this piece as a guide for all my single friends who are impatiently awaiting the arrival of their soulmate.]
Finding your perfect match is like finding a hand bag to match your new shoes. Dating and shopping are more similar than you think. Sometimes you leave the store and you're confident that the bag you bought will be the perfect match, but when you get home you realize that you were wrong. So rather than give up, you find your receipt, you return it, and you continue shopping until you find the right one. If you're not happy with your hand bag, TAKE IT BACK! You can't settle for a bag that "will just work for now". You owe it to yourself, and your "shoes" to have high standards.
The key is to realize that you deserve the best. Decide that your closet only has room for designer brands not cheap knock offs that will fall apart the next morning. Quality is everything. Buying a purse that you don't love is like dating a person that you're really not that into. In the long run, the true feelings will eventually surface. What will happen is, you will wear the purse once and never wear it again. While you want to be somewhat picky, don't get too caught up on the outward appearance of your bag. While there does need to be some attraction, you don't know if your perfect bag will come in the form of a sequined clutch, a coin purse, or a full sized bag--You also don't know exactly what color it may be, so keep your options open.
Here's a tip. When you're looking for a handbag to go with your shoes, DO NOT go digging through your closet trying to make an old bag work with new shoes. You stopped carrying those bags for a reason. Leave them alone. In other words, leave your ex's and old "friends with benefits" alone. There is a reason you stopped talking to them, just trust that you had good judgment when you left them. When you know your ex is bad for you, just lie to yourself and repeat these words: PEOPLE NEVER CHANGE, PEOPLE NEVER CHANGE, PEOPLE NEVER CHANGE, until you believe that they will always be the same douche bag that they were when you broke up. Listen, I'd rather have cute shoes and no bag, than cute shoes and a hot mess of a bag which doesn't match. A raggedy hand bag can ruin an entire outfit. That may sound harsh but sometimes in the long run being harsh can be beneficial. I am a strong believer in forgiveness, but I am also a strong believer in learning from your mistakes. My philosophy is: Screw me over once, shame on you, screw me over again, I should feel as dumb as I look for taking you back.
Backseat shoppers! A second opinion is always useful when shopping, but it isn't always necessary. Where a friend may help you pick out the right bag, only you should be wearing it. In other words, a best friend’s opinion is nice, but keep some things sacred. Involving too many people in your dating life will only complicate things. Grow a pair and learn how to handle your own issues. You will find that by not passing around your new bag for all of your friends to borrow, down the road the wear and tear will be minimal.
Lastly, just remember that you don’t NEED a bag in order to wear your shoes. A hand bag is an accessory not a necessity; the same applies with your future significant other. Once you decide that you don't need a handbag in order to survive, you will stumble across the perfect one!

Jam Session: Javon Black "Lil Mama"
I heard this jam on the way to the club last night, and then once more on the dancefloor. Oh so sick. I love it. Every once in a while I have to get aldawaylive...this track crunked me up to par. If you liked "Shawty Tore it Up" by Javon Black from late 08' you will LOVE this song.

Retired Jam of the Present Moment: Estelle "Wait A Minute"
This track was great find. I accidentally discovered it back in January while flipping through my MTV channels. It definetly has that smooth, old school, sexy vibe. I guess I was destined to love this song, seeing that the chorus melody is taken from the 70's classic "Just a Touch of Love" By Slave (one of my favorites). I was pleasantly surprised to hear Estelle rap. The men's vocals in the beginning belong to none other than Will.I.am. The brief cameo by Mr. John Legend in the music video added just the right touch of star power to this flawless track. All in all, Estelle struck gold with this one.

Topic: Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Ke$ha, Souljah Boy, and Plies all need to lose their voices because they are all talentless.
Synopsis: Agree to disagree. I STILL know that them hoes can't sing and that Plies and Souljah Boy give hip-hop a bad name, but I cant convince America to feel that way.

Jam Session: Juanes - La Paga
This song is by Colombian singer, Juan Esteban Aristizábal Vásquez, better known as Juanes. This track was released in 2005 and has remixes with Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas. I prefer to stick with the original. This animated music video is also quite comical.

Drama, bickering, and negativity can really ruin your flow if you allow them to. I have no time for it...I'm too focused on the big picture to let that nonsense slow me down.

Jam Session: Raphael Saadiq- Big Easy
I recently stumbled across this hot track by Raphael Saadiq, formerly of Tony Toni Tone. With a southern, vintage-motown feel and powerful lyrics, I couldn't resist clapping my hands and two stepping. While this song wasn't a huge commercial success when it was released September 2008 on his third solo album titled, The Way I see it, this song speaks as an anthem for New Orleans. Here is a live performance on VH1's Soul Stage.
